Welcome to BoatingWithTR.com! This web site features pictures and stories about the adventures my friends and I have on the Elk River and the Chesapeake Bay. This generally involves a lot of boating, which in turn involves a lot of beer. Use the menu at the top to view pictures and read stories that occurred during a particular boating season. You can also check out some of my favorite links or become a BoatingWithTR.com member. I try to update the site as often as possible, but it gets difficult during the heart of the boating season. But check back often, I'll do the best I can!

I don't have much time for this post, there's a lot going on right now, but I wanted to give a huge Thank You to everyone who's gotten my name out there. This is shaping up to be a great campaign!

OK, I'm not going to pretend that I haven't been neglecting this website for close to 2 years (!). I could fill this page with lame excuses, but instead I'm just going to move on and try to get back on pace. I'll leave my excuses to your imagination.

A few things I would like to mention, however:

The Original Bad Influence, a 2001 Sea ray 245 Weekender, has been replaced (temporarily) by a 1999 260 Sundancer. The Original Bad Influence is for sale if anyone wants to own this great boat! Just send me an email and I'll give you all the info you need. The boat is turn-key and has a warranty!

Also, my site is currently undergoing a bit of an overhaul to make it easier for me (and you!) to upload pictures and add commentary. I owe a big thanks to my wonderful girlfriend Danielle for getting that going and spending so much time working on it. I'm confident that this will get me back in the groove of keeping the site fresh with great content and better pictures! When the new site is up, it should be pretty obvious.

And lastly, I'm finally getting around to adding a Members section that will be worth visiting. I'll keep you posted on how that's progressing!

OK! On to the more exciting stuff. 2008 has already seen some great boat trips. Gas is getting pricier by the day, so I took a handful of trips earlier in the season when gas was still "cheap". This way when I'm sitting around for the rest of the season anchored on the Bohemia, I can at least say I went somewhere. So far I've made it to Annapolis three times, Baltimore twice, and Kent Narrows once. All before June! I will be posting these pictures soon!
