Well I held out about as long as I could before winterizing the boat. I really wanted to get December boating day in before putting the boat to sleep for the winter. I was hoping for a slightly warmer day, but I didn't want to take the risk of letting it get any colder without winterizing the engine. So Bryan agreed to take a chilly ride with me to officially finish out the season.

Here you might be able to tell that it was a little brisk outside.
What I'm trying to show here is the ice at the waterline on the shore
We went up to the Chesapeake Inn for a delicious bowl of crab bisque. By the time we left it was almost dark and even colder!
When we got back to the marina, Bryan stepped out onto the swim platform and slipped because it was covered with ice! I'm glad he didn't fall in. We pulled the boat out of the water and winterized the engine. Sniff.
But it's a good thing we did, because two days later this is what the boat looked like!

Have a great December, see ya in 2004!!
