Day 1: Elkton, Md to Deltaville, Va

Man what a cold morning! I just have to thank the rest of the crew for waiting for me that morning. In my usual fashion, I showed up about 30 minutes late, and fortunately the boat was still at the dock. I loaded up my stuff and hopped on board. We left the Elkmore dock at 7:30.

I didn't take any pictures until we got to Solomon's Island, because everything we'd passed up to that point I'd pretty much already seen. But this was the farthest south I'd even been by boat.
There were some pretty nice marinas in here, and the water was very calm, much unlike the Bay, which was actually the roughest part of our entire journey.
Those first two pictures I scanned in myself, I guess that's why they were so blue. The rest were done professionally, as you can hopefully see...
That's the gas dock at Solomon's where we took on our first tank of fuel. This was also where Gerry and Kenny figured out just how far we could travel, both time and distance, on a tank of gas.
This is the Point No Point Light located near the entrance to the Potomac river, just off of Point No Point. Kind of a strange name for a point. Is it a point or not? In any event, this lighthouse was built in 1905. Pretty cool.
As we approached the marina where we stayed in Deltaville, we saw a few really nice houses with killer waterfront properties.
And the was the last picture I took that day, as we got to the end of the channel into the marina.

I've got to thank the nice people at Taylor's restaurant for coming to the marina to pick us all up, and for a great dinner. Not to mention they still took us back to the marina after we sat at the bar next door for a while after dinner!
