I have to thank Gerry Sligh for making this trip happen. I was very fortunate to be able to join this great crew for a 6 day journey from Elkton, MD to Thunderbolt, GA. We left the Elkmore dock at 7:30 am on September 26, and arrived at Savannah Bend Marina on October 1, around 5:00 pm. We were in Gerry's boat, a 32 foot Carver, which was more than enough room for myself, Gerry, Kenny Meekins, and Ron McNeal. You couldn't have found 4 more laid back people to spend 6 days on a boat with.
